Karolyn graduated with an Associate’s degree in Communications in 2011. She loves public speaking especially when they are informative! Throughout college she was always involved in speech competitions and Student Government.
Karolyn also loves running, especially when it’s for a cause. Her favorite awareness to participate in is the Jingle Bell Walk/Run for Arthritis. Karolyn was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 10. Now in remission she loves running for the cure. She also volunteers at Riley Hospital for their teen retreats. As a former Riley patient, she remembers the mentors that guided her through her chronic illness and hopes to provide the same kind of guidance and kindness once shown to her.
Her passion is horses. She has held many positions in the equine industry including barn manager, horse instructor, and trainer. She has been riding for 18 years and loves teaching others how to ride. Karolyn and her husband met while working at an equestrian camp. Since then their dream is to start an inner city ranch for kids.
